A solo ager is defined as someone who is 55 or over, who does not have a reliable support system. When people fall into this category, not planning is truly NOT an option. As we know we all need to plan but many people may have a support system that creates a safety net of sorts that, although not ideal, can provide some options even if there was no plan. Solo agers without planning may not have that safety net. Here are some tips I have learned from my colleagues at Beacon Patient Solutions, LLC.

7 Planning Needs for Solo Agers:

  1. Healthcare Needs and Management
  2. Age Diverse & Robust Support Network
  3. Living Dynamic Life
  4. Advance Care Planning
  5. Residential Decisions and Transactions
  6. Investments, Financial Decisions and Money Management
  7. Legal Representation
